The regular prize starts at Silver
Google's current help page says Play Points members at Silver level or above can claim a weekly prize. Bronze members should not expect the same weekly prize screen simply because they joined the program.
Your level can also affect the type of perk shown. Treat screenshots from another account as examples, not a promise of the exact same reward.
Friday means Friday in your Play country
The regular weekly prize resets on Friday in the country attached to Google Play. This matters when you travel, use information from another region, or compare posts published in a different time zone.
Do not convert another country's reset time and assume it controls your account. Open Google Play on the enrolled account and use the date shown there as the final reference.
How to claim and verify the prize
Open the Google Play Store, tap the profile picture, open Play Points, and choose the Perks tab. If a weekly prize is available, open it and complete the claim action.
When you are unsure whether it was already claimed, open the Play Points menu and check Points history. The history is more useful than repeatedly reopening the prize animation.
Play Pass Thursday rewards are separate
Google also provides special weekly Play Points bonuses and boosters for Play Pass subscribers in selected regions, including the United States, Korea, Taiwan, Japan, France, Germany, and Great Britain. These are distinct from the regular weekly prize.
The Play Pass benefits refresh on Thursday and can expire when the next week's benefit replaces them. A Thursday Play Pass offer and a Friday regular prize can therefore coexist without being duplicates.
What to do when nothing appears
Confirm the Google account, Play country, Play Points level, Perks tab, and Points history. If you are looking for a Play Pass reward, also confirm that the subscription and family eligibility are active on the relevant account.
Do not make another purchase to test the reward. Weekly prizes are perks, not proof that a purchase was tracked. Use the missing-points guide when the problem is tied to a transaction.
Plan status progress without chasing a random prize
Use normal planned spending as the baseline. A weekly reward should remain a bonus, not a reason to increase spending.
