Three places to check without adding a purchase

1. Your weekly reward

US members at Silver or higher can claim a weekly prize from the Perks area. It resets on Friday in the Play country. Check Points history when you are unsure whether the current week was already claimed.

2. Super Weekly Prize

Gold and higher levels can see a Super Weekly Prize in Perks when eligible. Open the current prize card to see the available rewards. If you use a Super Ticket to try again, you give up the current prize; the Super Weekly Prize guide explains how that choice works.

3. Featured app or game install

Google may display an offer for installing and using a particular free app or game. It is not a general reward for every free download. Follow the deadline, first-install, use-time, and personalization conditions shown on the card.

For a US first-install promotion, Google's guidance requires at least two minutes of use within 24 hours of installation; points can then take up to seven days to appear. When a quest includes a purchase

A quest can include playing, signing in, installing, subscribing, or making eligible purchases. The word “quest” does not tell you whether it is free.

1. Read every step and the deadline before starting.
2. Look for a minimum amount, purchase count, subscription, or eligible-title rule.
3. When a purchase is required, compare it with a purchase you already planned.
4. After completion, check both the quest card and Points history.

Purchases completed with Play Points do not count toward a purchase quest. Refunds can also reverse quest progress or rewards. Read the quest card for any additional conditions.

Play Pass rewards are for people who already have the subscription

Eligible US Play Pass subscribers and family members can receive a Thursday Play Points bonus or earning-rate booster. The reward is separate from the regular Friday weekly prize.

If you already use Play Pass for its apps and games, remember to check the weekly benefit. If you are considering a new subscription, compare the subscription's app and game value together with the weekly reward rather than treating the points alone as a fixed allowance.

For a planned purchase, compare the available benefits together

A purchase is not a problem when it is part of your plan. Before checkout, review the Earn tab for an app-specific multiplier, a quest, the offer period, and your current level rate. Then verify the result in Points history.

How to recognize a fake “free points” offer

• It asks for a Google password or verification code.
• It promises unlimited points, cash conversion, or transfers between accounts.
• It requires an unofficial APK, browser extension, or remote-access app.
• It asks for a payment or gift-card code before releasing points.

Legitimate benefits are visible in Google Play or documented by Google. A third-party site cannot directly add Play Points to your account.

A simple weekly routine

1. Thursday: check Play Pass rewards when you already subscribe.
2. Friday: open Perks and claim the weekly reward shown for your level. Gold and higher levels may show a Super Weekly Prize.
3. Before a purchase: read multipliers, install offers, and quests in Earn.
4. After a purchase or claim: check Points history and the active Google account.
