Eligible Google Play subscription charges
Google includes eligible subscriptions among the Google Play purchases that can earn Play Points. The charge must be made through Google Play with the enrolled account and must be eligible under that account's country rules.
A subscription paid outside Google Play or a service not shown as eligible should not be included in the estimate.
Separate the first charge from renewals
A subscription can have an initial charge, trial conversion, introductory price, and recurring renewal. Treat each completed transaction separately rather than assuming the first result applies forever.
For a decision about the next bill, use the upcoming renewal amount. Estimate a full year’s cost only when you intend to keep the subscription for that period.
Check trials, discounts, cancellations, and refunds
A free trial without an eligible charge does not create point-earning spend. Introductory prices, grace periods, partial adjustments, cancellations, and refunds can also change the final point result.
Use the receipt and Play Points history after the charge settles. If a charge is refunded, the points and level progress from that purchase can be deducted.
Promotions may not cover every renewal
A 2x or 3x offer may cover selected apps, new subscriptions, first payments, or transactions completed during a limited window. A later renewal may earn only the normal rate.
Calculate at the normal rate first, then apply a promotion only to a charge clearly covered by the offer shown on the purchasing account.
Use recurring spend as a pace check
Normal subscription spending can help estimate progress toward a level without inventing new purchases. Add only the eligible charges you already plan to keep.
If the remaining level cost is still much larger than your normal subscriptions, do not add unnecessary services only for status.

Do all subscription renewals earn the same amount?
No. The eligible amount, rate, promotion, and refund status can differ for each charge.
Can a free trial earn points?
Do not count a trial with no eligible charge. Check the actual billed transaction and Points history.
