US estimate: earning 100 points is not the same as redeeming them
At the US Bronze rate, 100 points take about $100 of eligible pre-tax spending before promotions and purchase-level rounding. That is an earning-cost estimate, not $100 of redeemable value. The rewards shown in your Use tab determine what the points can buy.
This guide uses United States earning rates. Outside the US, use the method with your own Play country’s currency and rate rather than converting the dollar amount.

Compare the rewards before exchanging
Suppose your account offers either a $1 credit or a $2 coupon for 100 points. Those are hypothetical offers, not a current US exchange rate. If you already plan an eligible purchase and meet the coupon minimum, the $2 discount may save more. If using it requires an extra purchase you did not want, the flexible credit may have more value to you.
100 points are not cash. Their use value depends on rewards actually shown on the account.
Spending needed at each US level
Using the cited US base rates, the rough eligible spend for 100 points is: Bronze $100 at 1 point per $1; Silver about $90.91 at 1.1; Gold about $83.34 at 1.2; Platinum about $71.43 at 1.4; Diamond $62.50 at 1.6.
Google calculates each eligible item and rounds to the nearest whole point. Taxes are excluded, so several purchases can differ from one division of the total.
Why redemption value is not fixed
Play Points can be used for in-app items, coupons, Play credit, or partner offers when available. Catalogs and required points differ by country, time, and account.

How US promotions change the estimate
At US Bronze, an eligible 2x offer can reduce the rough spend from $100 to $50, and a 3x offer to about $33.34. That calculation applies only when the specific transaction qualifies.
Start at the normal rate, then check activation, dates, apps, caps, and account eligibility.
What non-US users should do
Do not convert the dollar table with an exchange rate and assume the result is a local Play Points requirement. Countries can have different thresholds, earning rates, taxes, rewards, and promotions.
