Short answer for US accounts
At the US Bronze base rate of 1 point per $1, earning 100 points takes about $100 of eligible pre-tax spending. A promotion or higher status can reduce that estimate.
100 points are not cash and cannot be converted to cash. Their use value depends on the rewards actually shown in your Google Play account.
Spending needed at each US level
Using current US base rates, the rough spend for 100 points is: Bronze $100 at 1 point per $1; Silver about $90.91 at 1.1; Gold about $83.34 at 1.2; Platinum about $71.43 at 1.4; Diamond $62.50 at 1.6.
Google calculates points for each item and rounds to the nearest whole point. Taxes are excluded, so several small purchases can differ from a simple total-spend division.
Why the redemption value is not fixed
Play Points can be used for in-app items, coupons, Play credit, or partner offers when available. The catalog and exchange requirements can differ by country and account.
Open Google Play, choose Play Points, then Use. Check expiry dates, minimum purchases, and app restrictions before treating a reward as savings.
How promotions change the estimate
At Bronze, an eligible 2x offer can reduce the rough spend for 100 points from $100 to $50, and a 3x offer to about $33.34. This only works when the offer applies to that item and account.
Run the calculator at 1x first. Then read the activation step, cap, and end date instead of buying only to reach a round point balance.
Checks before relying on the number
Confirm that the purchase is made after joining Play Points, on the enrolled account, and is eligible in the US. The purchase screen and points history are more authoritative than an estimate.
